Holy Family School provides an After School Program for children registered as students at the school. Your child will be provided with a safe environment to socialize with friends during their stay at After School. Our program always has a staff member certified in Adult and Child CPR and First Aid on duty at all times. We provide a healthy snack at no extra charge and also provide older children (second grade and up) an opportunity to begin their homework. We attempt to incorporate physical activity, games, and arts / crafts into our schedule as well.
The After School Program provides child care from 7:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. in the school building. Children in kindergarten and up may use the program from the 3:05 p.m. dismissal time until 6:00 p.m. any day of the school week.
Children in the morning preschool class are able to use the program as well, from their 10:40 a.m. dismissal time until 6:00 p.m. They will be taken to the cafeteria to have lunch at approximately 10:45 a.m. and are able to either purchase a cafeteria lunch or pack their own.
Children registered for the afternoon preschool class may attend the After School Program anytime of the morning from 7:30 a.m. until noon. They will be taken to lunch at 10:45 a.m. and can either purchase a school cafeteria lunch or pack their own. They will be walked to the preschool class at noon. These children are able to return to the After School Program after the preschool dismisses at 3:00 p.m. if needed.
On days the school dismisses at noon, the After School Program is available from 7:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. The program is only open on days when school is in session, therefore child care is not available on snow days, holidays, breaks, etc.
All parents or guardians are required to submit registration paperwork, valid KY immunization records and pay a $20 registration fee prior to their child using the program. You will be charged a late fee if you do not arrive at the school by 6:00 p.m.
The After School Program is bound to the same state laws as daycare centers and is governed by the Office of Inspector General. Division of Regulated Child Care. We are inspected a minimum of once yearly and are required to post any violations of the set regulations in our room. You are welcome to come in and peruse the guidelines, as well as our inspection reports, at your leisure.
Please feel free to check us out! Parents are warmly welcomed at any time and no appointment is necessary.
